2019 Audi Wheel Bolt Torque Specs, Instructions, General Information

If you are planning on installing a wheel on your 2019 Audi, it is important to be aware of the manufacturer's recommended torque settings. Using the proper torque on your Audi's wheels, helps ensure that the wheel assembly is securely installed.

Using the manufacturer's recommended wheel bolt torque on your 2019 Audi also helps guarantee that there isn’t either too much or too little pressure on any of the assemblies to which the wheel attaches. Before you install your wheels, check your vehicle’s recommended torque.

2019 Audi Wheel Bolts, Tightening Correctly

  • The wheel bolts are different lengths and have ball bearing surfaces depending on the model.
  • Make sure the correct wheel bolts are installed.
  • The wheel bolts and wheels will only be secured correctly if the correct wheel bolts are used.

To install wheel bolts correctly on any of the 2019 Audi models, follow the sequence and instructions below:

  1. Do "not" use an impact wrench to install the wheel bolts.
  2. Before mounting a wheel, carefully clean all rim contact surfaces for the wheel hub, the wheel hub and the surfaces for the wheel bolts on the rim.
  3. Before installing the wheel bolts, carefully clean the thread and the cap contact surfaces.
  4. Apply the Optimol paste G-052-109-A2 to the threads on the wheel bolts.
  5. Install all wheel bolts in a diagonal sequence until the wheel is seated securely on the wheel hub. Only then can the vehicle be placed on the ground.
  6. Place the vehicle on the ground.
  7. Use a wrench that is the correct size for the vehicle when tightening the wheel bolts to the specification.
  8. Set the required torque on the torque wrench.
  9. Tighten all wheel bolts in a diagonal sequence to the tightening specification when the vehicle is stationary on the ground.
  10. Check each wheel bolt with the torque wrench set to the correct torque at least once.
  11. By checking the torque, make sure "all" wheel bolts on "all" wheels are tightened to the required specification.
  12. After achieving and checking the correct torque on "all wheel bolts", install the caps completely and securely on all wheel bolts.
  13. Use the back of a screwdriver or a suitable tool to do this. Do not damage the cap.

If all of the assembly steps were performed carefully and correctly, the wheel bolts do not need to be re-tightened after the vehicle has been driven a specific distance.
