2018 Mazda CX-5 EPB Maintenance Mode On/Off Step by Step Guide

  4. Verify that the electric parking brake warning light is illuminated in an amber color and the mode is switched to maintenance mode.
  5. Switch the ignition off.

After the EPB Maintenance Mode is ON on your 2018 Mazda CX-5, you can do the work that needs to be done on your rear brakes, make sure all the work is completed properly, and then you can end the EPB Maintenance Mode.

  1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
  2. Switch the ignition off, and then switch the ignition ON (engine off) 3 times within 5 s while maintaining the following conditions. a) Pull up the electric parking brake switch. b) Depress the accelerator pedal fully.
  3. Verify that the electric parking brake warning light turns off and the maintenance mode is ended.
  4. Switch the ignition off.
