When do you need this information?

Whether you are changing a flat tire, you are swapping a wheel, or any type of work that requires you to remove the wheel on your 2021 Acura RDX, it is important that you use the manufacturer's recommended wheel nut torque for your vehicle. To properly tighten your wheel nuts to the manufacturer-recommended specs - 80 lbf∙ft (108 N∙m, 11 kgf∙m) - you will need an accurate torque wrench. Please make sure that the wheel nuts are torqued while the wheel is "in the air" but the vehicle has been lowered, which means the wheel has to be as close to the ground as possible, almost touching the ground or pavement. (use wheel chokes to stop the wheel from spinning when torquing the wheel nuts or bolts) This is to ensure false torque reading and proper wheel setting.

WARNING! Not using the proper jacking equipment, tools, and proper wheel lug nut or bolt torquing technique might result in serious injury and vehicle damage! Proper lug nut or bolt torque is very important to ensure that the wheel is properly mounted to the vehicle. Any time a wheel has been removed and reinstalled on the vehicle, the lug nuts/bolts should be torqued using a properly calibrated torque wrench using a high quality six sided (hex) deep wall socket. After 25 miles (40 km), check the lug nut/bolt torque to be sure that all the lug nuts / bolts are properly seated against the wheel.

The wheel nut torque setting presented on this page has been collected from the Owner's Manual for your 2021 Acura RDX, published by Acura Canada.
