Toyota FJ Cruiser Lug Nut Torque

What is the lug nut torque setting for Toyota FJ Cruiser?

When installing a wheel on your Toyota FJ Cruiser, you must torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer's recommended lug nut torque of 85 ft-lb, or 115 Nm.

To properly tighten your wheel nuts to the manufacturer's recommended specs of 85 Ft-Lbs (115 Nm), you will need an accurate and properly calibrated torque wrench. Please make sure that the wheel nuts or bolts are torqued while the wheel is "in the air" but the vehicle has been lowered, which means the wheel has to be as close to the ground as possible, almost touching the ground or pavement (use wheel chokes to stop the wheel from spinning when torquing the wheel nuts or bolts). This is to ensure proper torque reading and wheel setting.

For safety reasons, in order to avoid vehicle damage or personal injury, proper lifting equipment is required when torquing the lug nuts on your Toyota FJ Cruiser. Only use the jacking points indicated in your Toyota FJ Cruiser Owner Manual, and always activate the emergency brake before jacking the car. In addition, use jack-stands properly placed under your vehicle when leaving the car suspended for a while, or if you have to get under the car for any reason.

Do not over-torque or under-torque the lug nuts on your Toyota FJ Cruiser!
