What are your options when you have a flat tire on your electric vehicle?
There are a few options available to your if you have a flat tire on your EV:
- If your vehicle has the option to carry a spare tire when you purchase it, please say yes. One day, you'll thank yourself for this.
- Purchase a Modern Spare spare tire for your EV and carry it in your car, together with a jack, lug nut wrench, and a small air compressor. If you don't know how to install it when you have a flat tire, you can either contact your roadside assistance provider, or a flat tire change service that will send someone to install your spare tire properly.
- If one of your tires has been punctured, you can contact a mobile flat tire repair repair service that will come to you, to fix your flat tire.
- Your last resort should be towing the EV because your electric car (or hybrid) is not equipped with a spare tire, and the one of your tires was damaged seriously and cannot be repaired on the spot.
